People of the Ginger persuasion have been known to posses a certain amount of pace and skill, balanced with their knife edge anger when it comes to sports…..well kind of, Mark McGwire is an exception to the rule as he just went straight for the drugs.
That fire in their belly/on their head, has allowed them to excel at certain sports. But who is the greatest Ginger sports person? Who has dominated their chosen sport and set the bar high for all gingers to aspire to? Its not the whose who of sport but dam it, they deserve some recognition!

I think the old Mark Mcgwire placing might be a bit dodge….but can’t think of too many other gingers???
It was a tough list to create but yeah Mark Mcgwire was touch and go especially with all the drug admissions now……hmmm but lets see who else people might come up with.

Pollock is a good call and had not heard of Rod Laver but 7 consecutive years as number one in tennis is pretty amazing!
I like your list though I disagree with your number 1. Wayne Rooney would be my pick for the top spot.
You have some great athletes there, but I think you left out one of the greatest winter & summer Olympians of all-time, Shaun White. Also, you have to take into account his X-games victories and his innovation that took snowboarding to the next level.
Shaun White is definitely up there!
