Sushi – The Healthy(ish) Choice

Some historians believe the first versions of sushi originated in the South East Asia area as early as the 4th Century. However as the health benefits have spread and sushi chiefs seeking new fortunes in different countries has increased so has the variety of sushi available. This has meant that sushi has become the favorite lunch time snack for many an office worker across the world. Quickly replacing the humble sandwich in favor of this rice based roll from the Orient.

Just remember if you want to keep this a healthy option – reduce the lashings of soy sauce (high in sodium) and choose the fresh fish options over some of the more adventurous and often fried versions.  This way you can keep feeding your sushi addiction without guilt hidden away in these parcels of joy.

Not Exactly Authentic but Definitely Tasty

Whilst Sushi Rolls (maki) of today are not completely in line with the authentic nigrizushi of early Edo (Tokyo) and generally crafted from European and North American influences, they are dam tasty. So what are the best rolls out there? Well again we took it upon ourselves to go out there and taste test like it was no tomorrow. Sure it was grueling eating our own weight in sushi but it was worth it in the end to present to you the best options being served up to the masses as we speak.

Good list. I was torn on including Unagi in my top five (, but over all, this list is pretty solid. I'm not a crab fan, so we do have some differences.
